Sword & Gnome Show

Back Alley Gallery~Lowertown St. Paul, MN.~opening night.

The kick-off event for International Canned Beer Month '08 was the Sword & Gnome art show. It all went down Friday night at the Back Alley Gallery in Lowertown. Not the hugest turnout we've ever had, but it didn't matter much as there was a cornucopia of canned beer on hand. Besides the vast array of fantastic art, highlights included a lengthy and very much appreciated appearance by the world-famous Cole siblings-Jeff, Jer & Andrea and the Skullcrushers-Derek & Elaine. Joe P, Jer H and most of the regulars were there also. Frank Brown stopped by for awhile. When I asked him how it was going, he said "Another day, another blessing." Indeed, my man, indeed. Conspicuous by his absence was Joe Jadoonath. Hmmmmmm; not like him to miss a party at the BAG. His elder brother and outstanding human being-Peter, danced a jig in some Gnome shoes. Conversation could possibly have lead to an arrest if heard by the wrong person; vulgar, offensive and downright hilarious. Amy, after a few too many cocktails, had to hide in the back until Matt was ready to leave. I think she waited awhile.

Thanks to everyone who made it out to support us and threw a few back. Show runs through August 17th. Hours are Sat & Sun 12-5pm or by special appointment. Get at me if you're down.
